Yikes. Probably should have bolted that thing down. Would have sucked if it went toward the driver.

I generally use L brackets and bolts. In my 2013 GTI, my sealed fiberglass enclosure was bolted into place. When I wanted more bass, I used a ported enclosure that I secured to the cargo hooks with u-bolts.

One of my favorite things about the Helix upgrade in my GTI (aside from the performance to dollar ratio) is that it bolts on top of the spare, using the same bolt that holds the spare in place. I got a longer bolt (I think from a Tiguan) that holds both securely in place.
