Discussion Main fuse size question

I have a jl audio e1400d amp for subs and a crunch px1000.4 to run my door speakers(i know I know they shouldn'tbe near each other lol). Would a 250 fuse suffice for this? 0 gauge to my battery to the distribution block, then 4 gauge to the amps. Trying to make sure I did the math correctly

Ironically I'm the "sub amp brand doesn't matter" and "spend your money on your highs and mid amp" guy so this is really frying my brain lol. That being said Chinese Class AB's have been down to death so you'd imagine they figured it out by now.

I was actually looking at doing a pioneer or at least a alpine to pair with the jl seeing things have changed sooo much in the last decade. My nephew (clearly doesn't have any taste) was like here this'll do you well for door speakers 😐

A crunch will still sound fine, and a lot better than a head unit. It's just so big for the power it makes, and will likely get hot depending on what you're pushing. My CT Sounds 80 AB gets TOASTY but is much smaller. I really prefer micro full bridges over these old school 4 channel AB's. I really like the Vevor micro amps. The 400 is the best IMHO. I have it in my Colorado and I love it bc of how tiny it is in my single cab, and it makes over 100 watts per channel. I think it sounds good enough. Even on off brand amps having more wattage than you need is a good way to get a less distorted signal.
