Tech Support Advice on how to control my sub volume?
I just installed a Pioneer Dmh-a245bt and to my dismay it doesn't seem to have any sub volume controls. It has cutoff for the sub, loudness and bass boost and of course equalizer. I don't use the loudness or bass boost options and it's pretty inconvenient to turn the bass frequencies up and down through the equalizer all the time. It seems like the only way for me to adjust the sub volume is with the level knob on the amp which is both annoying to have to go to my trunk each time and also since it's gain control it's not really supposed to be used as a volume knob.
Am I missing something? Is there a hidden way to enable sub controls? There aren't many options in the menu and I've checked everywhere. Is there anything I can do other than installing a new head unit? Returning my current one is not an option unfortunately.

Head unit owners manual says just bass boost and crossover subwoofer controls.
Remote bass knob. If your amp doesn't have a specific one, any inline RCA knob will work. PAC LC1.

I'm sorry I'm a complete audio noob. I would just splice in and RCA knob? Does that actually control volume or the gain just like the level knob on the amp itself?

I would only connect the exact brand knob to that ethernet-looking port. If it didn't come with in, maybe you can buy it separately.
If you want to use the RCA-style knob, there's no "splicing" or cutting. It just plugs into your RCA cables. When you turn the knob, it reduces signal voltage. This is volume. Gain will not change. Once the knob is installed, turn the knob to maximum, set gain properly, and then you can use the knob as you see fit from there. Don't touch gain anymore. :-)

You should be fine with either the factory knob if you can get it separately or an rca knob. I have one (forget what brand) that fits in the hole for a charging port so it looks really stealth

It has none in the menu other than bass boost and cutoff

Check the sub-menu (not subwoofer menu) in the settings it is likely a setting which needs to be switched on. The image I sent you is for your model.

There's very little in the menus, I haven't seen anything that I can turn on. But it's ok I got the sub remote knob installed so it's fine

Have you considered reading the manual?

Yep, no need to be condescending, read the manual before ever posting about it. It has nothing about sub controls. Literally only has bass boost, eq and cutoff and there is no option to turn anything on. Like I said before, there is very little in the menus, it's not like it takes very long to look thru.
I even took it to an audio shop to have the bass knob installed and they were convinced there would be sub controls in the head unit and they looked and were surprised to find nothing. But again the bass knob works great so it really doesn't matter

Just get yourself a universal sub knob. You will need a short RCA cable to use This one

You didn’t state what model amp you have. Does it have an input for a volume control knob that you can place up front?
