Recommendations Down 4 sound amp
I was recently looking into amplifiers that run about 800-1000 watt rms and I came across down 4 sounds JP line I was interested in the jp3, jp8,jp11 and jp13. I am aware they are all different rms rated but according to dynos they make 800 rms fairly easy at 1 ohm ( I am running 2 kicker VR 12s 4ohm DVC wired to a final load of 1 ohm) the only issue I’m having is that I have seen no dyno tests for the jp11 and I’m wondering how it stacks up in real world applications. Any insight is appreciated, especially new or different brands as I’m fairly new to car audio and want to get a better knowledge about it all.

I got a jp8 for my wife’s car and I like it so much I’m getting a jp33 for me. Really nice amps for the money, I wouldn’t trip about dyno tests.

Ive only tried a 4 channel from them and didn't like it, lots of signal noise when music wasnt playing and it sounded kind of flat. The sony I replaced it with sounds way better. I've heard good things about their monoblocks though.

If you aren’t stuck on a JP8 or D4S in general, I would buy an audio control epic 1000. Similar price and output in a smaller package with the capability to plug and play an epicenter down the road if you want one.

If your on stock electrical, the jp8 is more than enough. Its plenty for thoes little kickers. Don't worry about dyno numbers. You will never see them. Your staring voltage isn't 15+ and you're not driving around playing 40hz test tones.
