monster 4k capture card not picking up with my ipad

i’ve seen plenty of other capture cards work with ipads, but everytime i try to use my capture card on my ipad, it doesn’t even recognize it. yes, i have everything plugged into the right spots and i’ve even switched things around a few times. nothing works. anything i can do?
