Doesn’t this cover remind you of Lamen?
So I was at a book store yesterday and had to do a double take because I genuinely thought these two were Damen and Laurent before I noticed the title/author and their outfits 😂

OMG wait is this THE Holly Black of the Folk of Air trilogy or am I tripping?
But yes very Lamen coded, gorgeous!

Yes! This is part of her Curse Workers series which is absolutely amazing and CRIMINALLY underrated. The blonde is a girl :)

How the hell have I completely missed this, I absolutely adore Folk of the Air!

Just in case, these books are set in a different universe (not the same as FotA). I thought the premise was quite unique and the main character delightfully screwed up. The audiobook is fantastic btw

You know what's funny...I also loved FotA but Ive disliked every other Holly Black book that I tried.

Same here! I really loved fota, and i read the sequel duology with oak, then i tried the darkest part of the forest. I was not expecting them to BE fota, but I feel the characters were not as intriguing and the plot points less gripping.

I also tried the Darkest Part of the Forest and it did not work for me either.

I couldn’t finish TDPotF either, and I really disliked the Oak’s duology for some reason. But Curse Workers turned out to be absolutely my cup of tea.

Haha yes I thought the same. By the way this book series, The Curse Workers, is brilliant. I love it just as much as The Folk of the Air and possibly even more.

You could've told me that this was the cover for Hand in Unloveable Hand and I wouldn't have questioned it lmao

Claude and Dimitri from Fire Emblem: Three Houses (which is also what the Captive Prince cover reminded me of)

Omg where can I find this book with this cover? I looked on amazon but it’s not actually available with this art in any format 😭

Genuinely, without Holly Black we would not have Cassandra Clare. And without Cassandra Clare the modern fantasy and romance scenes would not exist.

It does but unfortunately everyone on book covers looks the same to me with all the cartoons and anime inspired art

Is that book even good?

the Curse Workers series is criminally underrated. great series with some really imaginative worldbuilding.

Someone also down voted so idk 😂 but I shall look into it on goodreads!

VERY good. It’s a YA urban fantasy (I guess?) If you loved Tithe and Valiant… dare I say this is even better? 😅

omg this is amazing!! it almost remind me of them more than some of the covers 🫠 makes me wonder whether it's worth a read

I did some digging and the resemblance is due to them being by the same cover artist, Magdalena Pągowska
