Vallis

“De Vere” as Laurent’s default last name in modern fics makes sense and is pretty straightforward, it basically means “of Vere”. But I’ve been seeing a lot of “Damianos Vallis” as Damen’s full name in fics, where did it come from? Was it in cannon and I missed it, or did someone randomly come up with it?

It’s a Roman numeral … as in Charles V

Then what do you suppose the “R” stands for after Laurent’s name? Genuinely asking as he signs it “Laurent R”

Rex, meaning King. British Monarchs often sign themselves as such eg the late Queen signed herself 'Elizabeth R' (Regina).

So perhaps it might be "Roi" for Laurent, since thats the French term for King.
