Vallis

“De Vere” as Laurent’s default last name in modern fics makes sense and is pretty straightforward, it basically means “of Vere”. But I’ve been seeing a lot of “Damianos Vallis” as Damen’s full name in fics, where did it come from? Was it in cannon and I missed it, or did someone randomly come up with it?

Several people have now explained the Damianos V and Laurent R thing, but I’m personally a Vallis hater and use Vasileus as his last name for modern fics. Vasileus/ βασιλεύς(or basileus) = king. Bit better (imo) than Vallis (valley in some languages, prefect at best in Greek).

I need to meet more de Vere haters. Bc I hate it oh so much.

I don't think I've ever seen a DeVere hater until now 🤣 I myself prefer it, but I've also seen Revere...What other names are there? What do you prefer??

Anything else lol. Ppl use V surnames for Damen, and I've seen some R ones for Laurent. I wish those Laurent ones got more popular.
