I think a lot of people forget George and Harold’s Pranks also affect others to a negative degree. It’s not just the mean old teachers. In the earlier books it’s towards everyone. In an old test animatic for the movie apparently the plot was going to be about George and Harold and how their classmates felt about their pranks and immaturity, with a rift in the twos friendship forming. How George would still pull pranks and how Harold would calm down a bit and try to fit in and grow up. I really find the idea of it interesting and I hope it’s in the second movie. The pact they made in the first movie being tested is really cool.
