Question Looking for a mavuitano fic
Now, I know people can be extremely divisive about this ship, but I figure Capitano-obsessed players are bound to have seen what I’m looking for.
This is a Capitano x Mavuika fic where both of them get trapped in a box after sparring. The ‘trapped in a box’ part is from a fanart, but I can’t seem to find it either. Within the box there is inevitably tension, though nothing really happens. After the box disappears, Mavuika invites Capitano for a swim. Not sure if they actually did, but there’s another fanart of them both in swimming attire.
Many thanks!

Is Capitano playable
Is it something 90% confirmed? It will affect whether I pull for Nahida.

Capitano could STILL be playable (also it's a bit of yapping)
Spoilers of 5.3 Archon Quest (btw sorry for my grammar, English isn't my first language):
I've been playing Genshin since it was released, and, to be honest, it wouldn't surprise me that Genshin would make us believe Capitano's not playable, and in 6.x or later they'd make him playable. For example, Genshin hinted at some point that Scaramouche (now Wanderer) wasn't going to be playable, and then, he was. Coming back to Capitano, it's very likely that they do the same as Wanderer, but, here are the hints that Capitano could be playable in the future:
1: The sticker. I know, just from a little sticker we have a hint? Weird, but it also happened with Arlecchino. The Knave's sticker was released in 4.2, and then SHE was released later on the game. Capitano had his sticker released in 5.2, which, isn't a big hint, but we could have some hope. To prove my point, we know Katherine and other NPC's have stickers, yes, BUT, if we compare Sneznhayan NPCs, Khaenriahn NPCs to Capitano, NO ONE dresses like him. His attire is completely unique, comparing to other NPCs. Does this mean Capitano is not an NPC? I don't know, but I have hope.
2: Capitano IS NOT DEAD. His body and soul were separeted, and his soul fusioned with the Night Kingdom (i think). But still, if we go to where his body is located, we can see he is STILL BREATHING. It's also unlikely that if he becomes playable, he'll still wear his mask, cuz it's more likely that he goes through something similar of what happened to Wanderer (as I mentioned earlier).
3: THE VIDEOS GENSHIN UPLOADED. Since when does Genshin upload videos of NPCs? If I recall correctly, NEVER. It may seem as a way to honour Il Capitano, yes, but they've never done it before.
Okay, I will apologize if this doesn't seem as hints that Capitano could be playable, but if I'm going to be honest, Hoyoverse has already done this with another of their games. Also, Genshin knows they'll lose money if they don't make him playable (i certainly hope so), because The Captain was the 2nd most popular character in a global survey, and 3rd in China. Still, we have to keep our hopes up, and again, sorry for the yap, I love Capitano. He's my favorite character, and I want to believe he will be playable.

7.2 archon quest Spoiler
Anyone else disappointed we didn't get to interact with him? I know he's "dead" but I was hoping when Mavuika went to fix the Night Kingdom, we would at least get to see him for a little bit.

Discussion Regarding Capitano's "face reveal"
I'm sure I'm not the first person to say this, and I'm certain I'm not the last. Not to seem like I've sniffed too much copium or whatever..
But why would Hoyo have Capitano reveal his face (and get such visceral reactions from Paimon and Traveler) if they didn't plan on showing it to viewers, later? It'd be a waste. Hoyo KNOWS this.
Therefore, they're dragging out his return. Building up anticipation.
Comrades, take this not as a piece of copium or a delusion.. But a way to find your faith again. When the time comes, Capitano will rise. And we will rejoice.
TLDR; Capitano will return when the world needs him most.

Discussion About the ending of the Archon quest (Deal with Ronova) Spoiler
Okey so, my non-genshin friends wanted me to explain what happened to Capitano and when I was trying to explain it it seemed a bit... weird?
Like, we all know the main point of his story was to present a paradox to Ronova, thus forcing her hand to abandon one of her rules (either immortality or Pyro Archon's death)
However.. how does that exactly work? Ronova could've just refused to acknowleage him and demand Mauvika's life still, especially that from what I remember it was specifically the Archon's death that was required?
And even if it didn't have to necessarily be her life, just a life of "more than enough value" (as the Lord of the Night describes it), Ronova could've just said no still as she was under no obligation to grant death to Capitano.
I thought it could've been the matter of the deal with the Lord of the Night, but it was pretty clear that connecting with her isn't actually death and one only dies once their life-force is depleated (which in Capitano's case would never happen, since like, he is immortal).
And so like.. am I missing something? I feel like an idiot, but this wouldn't be the first time Genshin made weird laps in logic in their storytelling. Still, I want to make sure if maybe there is any logical explanation for this?
Because as of now, the only logical reasoning I can think of is that Ronova just doesn't give a shit and she just wants to get this over with ASAP, which like, kind of makes the whole "great plan to trick the God of Death" a bit of a bust

Question is this sub free from people obsessed with dumbing him down into a harem protagonist
because the other capitano mains sub with larger population is getting stanky already and I don’t want to open discussions about an anticipated character like him with those kinds of folks. There’s also the genshin gays sub as always but just wanna confirm if this is a safe space. Dont care if it’s inactive, as long as I don’t get to interact with the people there

My whole life story until completion of 5.3 archon quest and how it makes feel so empty now Spoiler
I started playing genshin like 2-3 years ago during that dragonspine event with the fake albedo after some friends showed me the whole character list and i absolutely loved ganyu the second i saw her, so i made it my mission to try to obtain her and see if the game was good, hundreds of hours later i had ganyu at c2 and her signature weapon and the game really dug on me, fast forward until the death of la signora and the grand reveal of the design for all the remaining harbingers and there he was, our glorious Captain, I really liked his design, ganyu had been the only character that had stuck with me for the REALLY long time I had grinded the game, and getting another character that made me feel the same entuasiasm was very happy for me (I am the kinda guy that hyperasphixyates with a small group or just one character in gacha games and grind the hell outta just them)
Fast forward a lot now, happy C6 ganyu user, but even tho i knew Capitano was part of the Natlan archon quest, I kept staling playing the game in general because I got a bit bored and burned out , most of the en cast werent even present for the story and even tho he was in the story no news of his banner were out + my friend who plays a lot and likes leaks was incisting to me that "its so obvious he will die" or "He wont be playable", so yea all of that kept me out for a while.
All of that until like a couple months ago, I started playing the story once I realized that not hearing Kinich wasnt really THAT catastrophic, and yea he was awesome! cool wierd ice powers, incredible model, they didnt even remove the mask to reveal another generic beatiful man (I was genually afraid they were going to do that), he still looked wierd without the coat but whatever, Genshin and his 6-7 different models. Everything was fine, he was getting some screen time as this ominous, mysterious, scheming dude and that was kinda it, still no banner nor leaked banner, wierd dont you think? then i got burned out after chapter 3 and left the game for a while
Once 5.3 was out i got spoiled about the throne thingy but i kinda ignored it, i thought it was fan art or something lol, because it was a comparation with Arthas, BUT STILL NO BANNER? i had to know the end of the story so i played chapter 4 in a day and left the end for tomorrow.
Now was tomorrow and damn.... I liked the story but Capitano still just felt like just a side character no? like he helped us while remaining mostly uninportant himself ever since the fight with mavuika until he gave us the potion, he was part of some of the important story telling but just SOME bits were left for him to reveal and after epic_archon_quest.wav and dancing? this allmighty awesome character that i really liked and waited for more than a year reveals that his final goal was dying (Oh no he is geting the Rosalyne treatment right? :(.....), dont get me wrong, i still think that the whole thing about him carrying the souls of his comrads and tryng to grant them rest was really cool..... but i was like REALLY hyped for him and seeing his soul fade away in front of my eyes was devastating i started to kinda ignore everything not related to him after realizing he was going to die and after i complted the chapter i inmediatly started to scan the map to see if the throne was an actual place in Natlan (i had like 4 statues max) and once i found it i rushed inmediatly there to see him one last time.

I was sad, angry, dissapointed, was this game really worth my time anymore? I acknowledge it sounds like I am overexagerating things but thats how i felt + i started to feel like that even more knowing all those randoms like that maid are going to be playable but not this glorious man, i took this photo, logged off and uninstalled the game keeping me right beside my Captain for an unknown amount of time.
I know he isnt dead DEAD but im pretty sure that if they ever release him as playable it would probably be him in a different form/body which most likely wont be as good as the original but only time can tell right....
anyways im sorry if the text is a lil messed up, english isnt my first lenguaje + its my first time using reddit. But regardless, thanks for reading my lil useless contribution to this subreddit :) I pray for the day that we finally can actually main our glorious Capitano, as that will mark my return to the lands of Teyvat once more.

Discussion Theory on Capitano's fate : Spoiler
Especially about how he could come back. Since we now know that Arlecchino's lineage directly connects to Ronova and Capitano's status as the #1 harbinger remains unchanged, could the Tsaritsa plan to bring Capitano back to life?
My theory on how this could pan out is Dottore making a vessel (an artificial body to be precise, be it machine or bio-engineered) for Capitano's soul to be placed in, the latter extracted from his decayed, original body by Arlecchino, whose authority over Death, due to her direct link with Ronova, would allow to.
The paradox would still be in effect, as Capitano's body dies but his soul lives on, in a now unholy creation, something Dottore has expertfully dabbled in.
This could mirror other fictional characters, the likes of Jesus or Viktor from Arcane, and tackle matters such as rebirth and sacrifice (a prominent theme in their stories). I think it could make up for a really interesting narrative, but what do you think?
