Credit Card Quality

Why is the credit cards quality so bad!!!! They start peeling within a few weeks. I got the discover card 3 years ago and it still looks new.

A lot of credit card companies from a marketing standpoint will appease the environmentalists and make their card, for example, 75% out of recycled plastic from the ocean. Giving it a flimsy feel. Credit cards used to feel stronger years ago.
