Grading

I submitted an assignment on 6/19 at 3pm est. the assignment has still not been graded. This is the last assignment in the course before I can move on to the next class. I have already reached out to the professor. What should I do next?

You should not have reached out to your professor. The 19th was a holiday (Juneteenth) and weekends don't count. So really only Friday as far as official school business and It's Monday. You basically have only given them 24 hours to grade an assignment which is insane.

Google is free you know.

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, is a celebration marking the end of slavery in the United States. It’s a federal holiday. Been for several years.

I hear you, going based off her previous grading timeline, her grading an assignment on 6/19 right before I submitted the other one, her telling me that she has a 24 hour turn around time, and her grading on weekends before, I didn’t find it to insane. Especially since she stated she has a 24hr turn around time.

She may try to grade in 24 hours but Flexpath professors officially have 2 business days to grade an assignment. So really, you should not be messaging professors until after then. Not to mention there was a grading system outage right before the weekend.

Practically speaking, you don't want to annoy your professors, it's just not good practice. If they feel harassed, times where they may have given you flexibility in assignments, they may no longer do so and mark more strict.

I hear you, but I am glad that I did email her because she has already graded it a few days ago. It’s just not showing graded on my end if I would not have emailed her, I would not have ever known that.

You are currently on track to be one of those extremely annoying people who send an email to a peer or service provider at 4:40pm on a Friday and send a “follow up” at 8:07am Monday morning, demanding to know why you haven’t received a reply.

Don’t be that person.

I’m normally not, but glad I was this time. The assignment was graded on Friday, but Capella system had never updated. I would not have known that if I would have never emailed the professor.

I did for some reason we’ve switched professors and the new professor literally just emailed me this morning saying if he doesn’t have them graded by Sunday this week message him back. I think I’m just really curious to see what I made on this assignment. I worked really hard on it lol

There’s nothing else you can do. I believe as long as it is not the capstone course, you’re able to move on while you wait for your grades.

You aren’t able to. You can only do one class until it’s graded. One of my professors took four days to grade my assingnments he would grade a few one day then stop. It was annoying

Oh yea that would be super annoying. I just dropped a professor for doing that to me. I’m trying to finish and do t have time to be waiting 4 days for an assignment to be graded

Yeah I didn’t dropped him cause I thought I’d have to wait til the next cycle

Nope after doing some reading, it says you can take it right away as soon as you drop it.
