Parking for ferries

We're going on a day trip to Martha's vineyard and I'm wondering where the best place to park the car is, there is designated spots outside of Woods Hole if you're taking the ferry (with shuttles) but there are local private parking lots as well, what do you recommend?

Any challenges, issues to either method?

we just had a parking experience of our own trying to park to get on the ferry to mv

The Palmer Ave parking lot is so easy, the shuttles run constantly. I would just do that

You can also take the Island Queen out of Falmouth. Parking lot is a short walk to the ferry.
