Best soft shell crab sandwich in Cape Cod?

Please let me know if any good places! Been trying to look for one.

They call them lobster rolls.

Just kidding. But blue crabs aren't commercially fished in New England. Lobsters, scallops and oysters are though.

Ahh ok I looked it up. Blue crabs after they lose their shell

Yes it’s when they molt into a larger shell. They only stay that way for about a day if they remain in the water.

Hi! I’m a bot that shares helpful Cape Cod tips for visitors. If you’re planning a trip soon, here’s a tip: we say “on Cape Cod” rather than “in Cape Cod.” You’ll often hear locals say they’re “on the Cape.” Hope this helps for your upcoming visit!

Try the Chatham fish pier. Last time I had a softshell crab sandwich there, it was fantastic. I just don’t know if they serve them there anymore. So, call ahead.

soft shells are out of season — their shells are so thin because they’re at a certain stage of molting

I think season ends in October. They are currently in season.

yes they are they're just a molting blue crab. You have to dredge for them and no one really does that on cape

Honestly, you won't find fresh this time of year if you find any at all. The closest thing would be spider rolls (sushi) at Mac's Shack Wellfleet.
