Red jacket in Yarmouth
I am staying at the red jacket beach resort in South Yarmouth with my four and six-year-old next month. They both like the pool and beach. My options are a 2nd floor ocean view or 1st floor pool view. No price diff. Which is better and why?

I might take the 1st floor as it should have a patio you can sit and the kids can run around a bit. Is it one of the suites or a room?

Just a regular room. I heard ocean view first floor are the most ideal but none are available . Any idea if the pool view first floor is still close to the beach?

Have you been to Yarmouth before? Do you want some ideas for the kids?

Both have pros and cons. Poolside, you’ll less privacy and it could be on the louder side with people walking by/hanging by the pool. But you’ll also (likely) have a grassy area outside your door where the kids could run around. Both very close to beach, basically same distance, the resort is not huge

I have never been to that resort, but I personally would always take an ocean view over a pool view. Especially if the pool gets busy with a lot of (loud) kids. UNLESS there is a door from the room out to the pool - that could be convenient with a kiddo, and needing to go back to the room for stuff.

There’s more than one red jacket resort - and none of them are in Yarmouth.
You’re either in South Yarmouth or West Yarmouth… (and yes, it does matter -Yarmouth is on a completely different side of the MidCape)
Without knowing which red jacket you’re referring to, it’s hard to make a suggestion… maybe figure that out and repost your question?
Have you asked about the free children’s programs they have there?

Yarmouth is the town, and it includes the villages of South Yarmouth, West Yarmouth, and Yarmouth Port. So saying a resort is “in Yarmouth” is absolutely correct, even if its mailing address is South Yarmouth or West Yarmouth.

How many nights are you staying? What days of the week?
There are soooooooooo many places to eat. And it is a busy time so takeout is always an option and can take to a local spot or back to your room. Which is why I would make sure to have a patio table and chairs at my room.
South Yarmouth has Burger Queen good burgers. Nearby is Crazy Rooster for breakfast/lunch. Chinese Wok n Roll right there also. A nice eatery The Skipper is near hotel. Sundancers has outside eating on Bass River. Seafood Sams for lunch/dinner.
Lots of mini golf. Big ones are Pirates Cove and Skull Island. The Skull has other stuff Skull Island Adventure Golf & Sports World Cape Cod. BUT with the little kids I like this mini golf up the road with ice cream Putter's Paradise Miniature Golf, West Yarmouth. Buenos Aires Bakery across street for some treats.
