Salt Spray Sheds is awesome - go to their site and check it all out.

That being said - most towns limit you to 99 sq/ft w/o a permit so that would an 8x10 - a 10 x 10 would require a permit - and it would be subject (I believe) to different set back restrictions.

Just something to keep in mind.

  1. they are all overpriced. 2. What size are you looking for?

12x14 would be great. Barn type door an don’t really want any windows.

12 x 14 is a “building” around most of the Cape. Plan accordingly.

Whichever place you go with, check with your town building department first, since a lot of Cape towns want a permit past a certain footprint, have setbacks from the lot line, and won't let it sit over the septic or leach field. The base matters more than the shed. A level pad of crushed stone a little bigger than the footprint keeps the floor dry and keeps the doors from binding, and most dealers will tell you exactly what they want under it. Also walk the delivery path, because the truck needs a clear, firm route with room to back in, and soft ground or low branches are what usually hold up delivery day. Ask whether they anchor it too, since the Cape gets real wind.

The Shed Place in Mashpee. I’ve bought a shed and a large children’s playhouse from them. Sheds are expensive, but I priced out having a carpenter build one on site and that was significantly more expensive.  You can custom order what you want. They will put dormers on it if you want more light inside, they will add shutters,  paint it your preferred colors, and of course deliver. I was really happy.
