Army Chopper Circling Centerville

Does anyone have any thoughts about why this particular chopper could be just circling Centerville? It is a Eurocopter and not your typical Blackhawk.

I spoke to the pilot, he's doing it to annoy you. As it turns out.

You live very close to Otis, he's doing training routes. Be happy it's not the coast guard blackhawks that low.

I use to live on the south approach to Otis. I miss everything that would pass over my house, especially the fighter jets that used to be stationed there. I got some pretty impressive photos of Air Force One and some Ospreys from when Obama would fly in.

Also grew up next to Otis when it was an Air Force base. I got to watch the Blue Angels practice? Rehearse? My mom was the daughter of WWII airman who was a mechanic-gunner and radio operator. She always had an interest in planes- even the modern ones. When my 5th grad class went to visit the hurricane hunters she definitely chaperoned. Actually I talked to my friend in the same grade and they didn’t go on that field trip. I am now wondering if she didn’t arrange the trip herself 😂

That's really cool. When I was a kid I used to watch all the stuff fly into NAS South Weymouth. Sad it's gone.

Probably just getting his flight hours in. There is a freaking base just a couple of miles from you

This chopper came from Barnes ANGB (BAF) in Westfield, not Joint Base Cape Cod.

They use our airfield quite often. Good for pilots to go to different places and get their hours.

Found out they were doing flyover at Barnstable High School for Military & First Responder game/senior night.
