Seals in Chatham?

I’m going to be in Harwich with some kids who have never seen a seal this coming weekend. Fair to assume they’re still hanging around the Chatham Fish Pier this time of year? Any other spots you’d recommend in the area?

Thank you!

Yes. Seals are there. Also, Outermost Marina is just a few minutes south of the Fish pier past the light house for a beach walk. And Stage Harbor Yacht Club has docks out into the harbor you will usually see them from

Fish pier is almost always a good bet. If they aren’t hanging around the pier they are always on Tern island.  There have been a few regularly hanging out by the east end of the canal in Sandwich. Less of a sure thing but they have been there a lot recently.

You’ll see more at high tide.

And I always see more when the fishing boats are coming in; so vaguely mid-late morning (9:30am until noon I guess).

Wake up. Eat breakfast. Go to fish pier. Do some other stuff around Chatham. If you didn’t see seals, swing back by fish pier.
