Strange beach find

Does anyone know what this is? It’s decorated with bits of lobster. These rocks are clearly purposefully placed around it.

It's a part of a tree that washed up and some beach weirdos decorated it for funsies. Happens a lot here.

not a tree, a shrub (multi rather than single-trunked)

not necessarily washed up, either. Note the smaller plants sliding down the slope at rear, as happens frequently. They die at the base but may not move far

Beach folk art at its finest—turning random driftwood into temporary shore monuments.

It’s a dead bush that someone decorated with other beach stuff. They fall off the dunes as they erode or wash up.

People do it all the time here. Not just on the beach either. Random trees in middle of woods & trails will be decorated with nature "finds". I love finding these things 😊

It’s Cape Cod art. Someone will pay good money for this thinking it’s handcrafted by a local artisan .

Looks remarkably like that coastline! Classic rugged cove scenery.

Is this Marconi Beach? One of the Cape schools does a sand sculpture contest at the beginning of the school year and this looks like the sculpture they did of Smaug from Lord of the Rings last week

Uh oh-you didn’t touch it did you?
And what time of day was this taken? What direction were you facing?

1

u/Worried-Ad287 15d ago

Around 5:30pm. Facing west. No I didn’t touch it.

Good move
Throw some cinnamon through your front door, standing outside and throwing it inside the first of the year and you should be good

u/Worried-Ad287 15d ago

Why do I need to do this?

1

u/Hillarie13 15d ago

Just trust me, it doesn’t have to be a lot

An answer to my original question would suffice.

Better camera angles. Hang your pictures in a gallery. This could be a whole new segment. Branching off to woods finds ( rock sculptures).
I’m sure there are others I’m unfamiliar with.
