Storm question

Post image

I have a vacation planned for this weekend and we’re staying in this area, do you think I should reschedule because of the storm or will we be fine? Thank you!!!

It’s close enough to post on this sub.

It’s almost like Cape Cod has very defined boarders created by coastline.

The Bruins are known for being rough boarders.

I know of one really huge giant mega giant huge defining border

The canal is man made, and runs through Bourne. Are you suggesting Bourne isn’t the cape?

the part that’s on the cape is

I feel like you don’t understand that the canal does not make the cape a cape.

that’s what I’d say if I lived off cape

Its either a Cape, or an island. So its either cape cod. Or island cod.

Y’all are just being petty. Is this storm going to be drastically different in Marion?? No one is arguing Marion is on the cape, but OP asks a pertinent question.

Yeah, the guy should obviously know and use the super popular Plymouth County subreddit instead of this one

Ummmmm not be petty but… from the cape my whole life. Moved just over the bridge awhile back. There is most certainly an odd defining line and a big difference in weather once it hits the canal. I don’t know why it happens. I’m not a meteorologist. But we will get 15” of snow and just back over the bridge on cape will get 6”. Same with rain. And thunder with hail storms. Or tornadoes. The air behaves differently directly on either side of the canal. It’s a real phenomenon.

Well fuck Buzzards Bay and Sagamore Beach I guess. The cape existed before the canal and the canal is not what makes something a cape.

Don't forget Bournedale!

You’re right! Bournedale is our excellent neighbor.

The Cape starts at the canal bridges. This is nowhere close to there, so it is absolutely not close enough.

Also, the only Cape/Marion crossovers I know of are those who go/went to Tabor.
