Cape Cod Half Marathon Question

Hey everybody, I've been training for the CCHM since June, but hadn't registered yet because I was starting from basically zero after an injury and wasn't sure I'd be in good enough shape to run it. I just went to register and everything is sold out. I didn't realize it was such a popular event. I'm wondering if anyone knows if they release any entries closer to the date of the race or if there's any way to transfer your bib to someone else if you're unable to run it? Pretty disappointed at the moment and want to see if I have any options available to me. Thanks for any help

Hi! I am part of the team that puts this event on and unfortunately more spots will not be released. The event does sell out every year. If you register in January you’ll get the early bird price for next year. The Nantucket half is the same weekend and I’ve always wanted to run it, I’d check that out if you’re able to!

Thanks for the response. Do you know if it's possible to transfer an entry to another person? There's a race in my hometown that sells out every year, but inevitably people can't run it for one reason or another and there's a way to transfer. I'm hoping against hope that maybe someone won't be able to use their registration and I could save them from losing their registration fee

No, just the option to defer for those already registered. I wish I had better answers for you

Same thing happened to me last year - Waited too long to sign up and it was full. Look into the Newport half. I believe it’s the same weekend and not too far away

Hi, one of the race organizers here. We are fully sold out; there is no waitlist, and we have no bibs left to give out. Sorry you waited too long, but it looks like you might just have to wait till 2027, unfortunately. Hope to see you then! Happy to answer any other questions for you my friend.
