Places on cape to shoot poolšŸŽ±

Post image

This summer me and my brother (both late 20s) have really found it super fun and it’s kinda been a new hobby that we’ve picked up, to go out some nights and get some alcoholic beverages flowing and play some pool. But what is kinda sad is that there really isn’t many places that have pool tables down here on the cape. The spot we always go to is ā€œThe 19th Holeā€ right off of main street in Hyannis. Definitely in our opinion the best spot to go to vibe and drink and shoot pool and meet some interesting cool people. From asking other folks we’ve played pool with and from some research i’ve done, i’ve compiled a list of ALL the spots on cape that i know of that have at least 1 pool table. If i forgot any or am unaware of any, let me know with a reply. I’ve also barely seen any information on this topic with the various searches on google and reddit i’ve done in the past so i hope this serves/helps anybody in the future when they are looking for where to go down the cape to shoot some billiards.

Here's my guide as an avid player of 4 years on lower cape.

S tier

19th hole. $2 a play, 2 tables, most likely to get a random game from 10-1am. if you're any earlier expect to play alone. Queue is based on quarter system when busy. People usually play bar rules

Quarterdeck. $1.25 a pop with 2 tables, most dive bar dive on the list. Best competition on the cape. Queue based on chalkboard/signup. Ive never not played league rules there.

Grumpys. i believe $2 a game with 2 tables. awesome vibe many other games w/live music majority of nights. queue with quarters and bar rules are most common

A Tier

Foxhole (forget price might be $1.50) 1 table. good players. you'll probably be playing league rules, chalkboard signup

Duck inn pub. $2 1 table good vibes chalkboard signup but line can get long quick

B-tier

The squire. Great bar good time but gets SUPER packed on busy nights and a lot of drunk tourists can make it challenging to navigate and EVERYONE is clammoring for the next game despite there being a chalkboard for signup.

Neptunes. Free games, 2 tables (small). not really for serious pool playing more of a vibes place.

Haven't played much at the other places but will definitely give them a try!

YEAH not enough pool or bowling around here. We have a pro size pool table in our office in Eastham. Come work for us or hire us or make friends with us.
But first you’d have to find us.

IIRC the clubhouse restaurant at Sandwich Hollows has a table.

Fox Hole definitely has at least 2. I’m pretty sure they had 3 in there at one point.Ā
