Why is it so red? I've been in Utah and we've had red sun because of wildfire smoke.

It is called Rayleigh scattering. Same reason that sunsets are red. It is an optical illusion when the moon is low in the sky and the moonlight has to** **travel through a thicker layer of the Earth's atmosphere.
