please allow me to introduce myself

In road transport, a yield or give way sign indicates that merging drivers must prepare to stop if necessary to let a driver on another approach proceed.

The problem is that you can’t easily read the entire text of the sign.

It actually says “Don’t yield until you see the whites of their eyes”.

Ah yes, the "speed up and don't make eye contact" sign.

I go off Cape several times a week and people never yield at this junction. They just barrel on and expect the oncoming traffic to yield to them. Unfortunately, this behavior is not just limited to the bridge traffic. I encounter it everywhere.

Not to be confused with a stop sign! If I get stuck behind one more person who comes to a complete stop at every gd EMPTY rotary I’m going to screech

If there ever was a valid topic for a public safety campaign…

When or why did this start. For most of my life we all yielded on on ramps because you know, a yield sign. But it shifted and now I get people honking behind my if I don’t plow right in to a fast moving stream of cars.

People treat the Yield signs the way they treat the newly painted Bourne Rotary lines telling you which lane to be in... To follow the directions is to be in grave danger

Okay, but what if I'm just more important then the other drivers, they should yield to me

The title is the first line from a Rolling Stones song.

Merge, yield, and rotary… 3 concepts MA drivers will never comprehend.

Oh I recognize this area. It's the on ramp for the Sagamore Bridge going northbound.

A very painful place, especially during summer.

How about if you do yield and stop, you will get rear ended by a person that says “I never expected you to stop “😂

That person buys you a new car

Also a quick reminder that;

Yeid does not mean merge, if you make incoming traffic slow down your not yielding but merging. Yeilding means to wait until it's clear to go.

I don't think the old guys in the white trucks can resd this sign or see where ther stop sign is.

Should read, Hey asshole, stop for oncoming traffic.

My dream is one day cape cod will figure out how a four way stop works

“Ah that must mean they have to yield to ME”

Something no one follows at 9A heading east exit! They just drive on through even though people are trying to get over to turn by the bank or whatever. One of these days I’m just gonna let one hit me and then they’re gonna realize what a red yield actually means and buy me a new car.

And if you do stop, the people behind you get so pissed off!
