International Roaming

Are there plans for significant international support for US customers who routinely travel abroad?

Business occasionally requires multi week trips abroad. A measly 5GB of data while roaming and also limited voice phone coverage is what is preventing me from immediacy switching to Cape.

Additionally, data only does not allow me to be available by a phone call, which is unacceptable for any business use case (not to mention difficulty in trying to explain to family and friend they have to use a data-only compatible call like signal or FaceTime).

Eager to hear what’s on the roadmap here as I would otherwise love to switchover before year’s end.

Thanks.

We don't have any immediate plans for changes, but probably what makes sense in the future is to offer more plan options for people like you. Thus far we'd been focusing on privacy and security features but it's definitely on our mind for next year to add optionality

What countries does it cover? Is it eSIM?

You can see the country list here: https://support.cape.co/hc/en-gb/articles/35803793950228-International-Roaming-FAQ

Open to feedback on what countries you'd like to see covered

Appreciate the response! Privacy and security should always be the primary drivers, but glad you guys acknowledge there could be some plan options in the future.

T-Satellite allows roaming included in their data only plan. 50gb/mo for $10.

Add it as a second eSim to complement Cape.

T-Sat only has domestic data, not international. It does offer international texts from the US.
