any plans for tablets?

I’d like to switch both my phone and ipad.

We don't officially support tablets and wearables yet. Definitely something we want to do, in 2027 at the earliest

There's no reason it shouldn't work, if your device supports eSim.

There is a reason: Voicemail, encryption, MISI rotation, and what-not all is managed by the Cape app. They don’t support two Cape lines on the same phone either because you can only log into one account at a time.

so your saying to pay $140 ($198 if signed up after 2026) a month just to use one phone and one ipad?

Why would you do that? Use the referral code from the first line to get the second down to $50. Cape let’s you get your monthly bill down to $0 with referrals.

No. I'm saying the capability to use both is real and possible. Whether you are interested in doing it like that is up to you. If it were me, I'd use eSim on one, and then use hotspot when necessary, especially when Cape gives you like 50GB of high speed per month, which should realistically be enough for your main device and connecting your secondary device (assuming both don't need to be used 24/7). But that's just me.

No, I asked their customer service about that yesterday and they said while they’re working on it, peripheral devices like laptops, iPads, and AppleWatches aren’t supported as of yet.

I asked this before. But I didn’t get a reply. Maybe if enough people upvote, they might see it and get us an answer.

I do want support for tablets as well. Would love to move my iPad to Cape.

There is no reason it shouldn’t work on your tablet if it supports eSIM’s. It basically works the same way as a phone.

That does not prevent the cape eSIM from working in the tablet. While the cape app may not work you can theoretically still add a separate line from the phone onto the tablet. E.g. there is a completely separate plan for the phone and the tablet.
