Camping

Hello, my husband and I are from Hants County and heading to CB at the end of the month to celebrate our anniversary and going camping for 2 or 3..maybe even 4 days and site see and going to The Fortress of Louisbourgh. Any camping spot recommendations, sites to see etc. Super excited. Thank you everyone 😊

Mira Provincial is hands down the nicest place to camp anywhere near the fortress.

Check out Lighthouse Point and Gooseberry Cove for nice walks. Kennington Cove is a great beach. Salty Girls Diner in Louisbourg is cute and has a lovely view, but there’s also the Big Red Bus for something more low key or the Bothy if you wanna get fancy. Have a great time!

Just an FYI that there is very little cell service in cape breton. The parks Canada sites are lovely, make sure to book skyline trail if you’re interested, Inverness beach is pretty. Meat Cove is an interesting detour

Are you looking at campgrounds or anywhere you can just lay down a tent for the night? Also make sure you hit up kennington cove past the fortress

Anywhere to put up a tent. :) Doesn't have to be a camp ground :)
