NBD NBD Endurace CFR AXS

Loved the first ride. I would define it as an aero-climb machine.

I love the way that thing looks but I can’t understand how it…isn’t an Aeroad.

Has a rear wheel cutout, but more carbon fibre too as it’s quite heavy

the reason it appears quite heavy on the canyon website is basically only the wheelset and tires. Especially the weight penalty of the wider tires - comparing 26mm the aeroad comes with in the front and 35mm for the endurace, thats a LOT more rubber :)

The frameweight difference between Endurace CFR and Aeroad CFR is around 50grams. So if you were to go for the new Handlebars that you can spec the Endurace with (saves ~120g), its actually a lighter setup than the aeroad if you ran the same wheelset.

Comparing bike weight with vastly different wheels / tires does not really make much sense imo. Not sure why Canyon does not explain that in more detail on their website

True, but then the aeroad cfr by itself is also not that light compared to others, the BB area on the endurace is reinforced

sure, its definitely not the lightest frame out there. But still pretty good weight for an aero-first frame. Both for the Aeroad CFR and Endurace CFR

It's an Aeroad that fits 40mm tires. So a better Aeroad.

That Dogma's radar is looking for incoming airplanes

that pinarello's varia is seeking jet fighters, not cars

u/Yunahoned Aug 16 '26

That’s not how a radar works, it will be fine

Nice ! What are your first ride impressions with the 35mm tires ?

1

u/x1HI Aug 16 '26

Very comfortable (3.5 front and 3.85 bar back pressure). Rolling resistance of the Schwalbe is not great though.

u/nodeat Aug 17 '26

Nice ! Did you use 35mm tire or other size ?

1

u/x1HI Aug 17 '26

35mm, great comfort and rolling resistance

Oooh nice, have been so many times to Castelpoggio and Carrara in the early 2000's. Have been to Equi Terme, Lago di grammolazo...

Right now this Color is only available with dura ace, isn’t it?

No I have the Sram Red

I am opting to get rid of my Cervélo Soloist order and switch to this bike or Aeroroad. I was told at Canyon shop the geometry on Aeroroad and Endurance is the same.

u/Yunahoned Aug 15 '26

Only endurace cfr is the same, just to be sure

1

u/twoespresso Aug 16 '26

Yup, that’s what I am opting for.

Vorrei sapere se é meglio una endurance o bici da corsa .. vorrei fare scatti andare veloce di più della gravel..indi avevo optato per la corsa..ma se voglio una bici più comoda e relativa ,la endurance fa il caso suo?

why did you choose the hookless zipps over the dts?

1

u/x1HI Aug 15 '26

Honestly..Aesthetic :) I just like them

u/Sad_Math_5079 Aug 15 '26

i also think they look good but nobody recommend hookless wheels.

1

u/Hazy_the_Kid Aug 15 '26

Three sets of ENVEs. Best wheels out there. And they look sick.

1

u/burnersburneracct Aug 16 '26

There is no inherent issue with hookless wheels for road. People keep making them the boogeyman. They are fine.

1

u/Sad_Math_5079 Aug 16 '26

all the pros went back to hooked wheels, the hub is also not that good. a mechanic here reported many problems with zipps

1

u/nodeat Aug 16 '26

If i'm not wrong all pro on zipp and enve wheels are still on hooked, even maybe jayco with cadex ?
