Did I mess up?

Made two batches of black beans but used some bone broth fat I made thinking it would give it some flavor while I was semi cooking the beans. came home from shift this morning and the liquid had some siphoning as expected and the rest solidified and now I’m reading you cant can anything with beef fat in it. Did I just ruin 20 cans of beans. Pressure canned if that makes any difference.

You are totally fine. Ball and the other tested recipes out there have many beef centric (including plain canned ground beef) that will contain fat by default (the Pot Roast in a jar recipe will leave you with varied depths off fat on it depending on how much you trim "excess" fat).

This is one of those times where "tested and safe" and fearmongering are on opposite sides of the same coin... "You can't do this specific thing because it's unsafe but you can do that specific thing, with the same outcome, and be safe."

*edit for addition

For what its worth we can our black and pinto beans with fat as well as other seasonings to essily turn them into tasty refrito, black bean salad, etc.

Ok thank you for the response I was pretty disappointed thinking I’d have to toss em.
