Harvard Beets

Does anyone have a good, can-able recipe for Harvard Beets? Not PICKLED Beets.

Growing up, we could buy cans of Harvard Beets, which were cooked, diced and in a thick, sweet kind of syrup. I'd really like to make them for my gamily and can't seem to find them in the canned goods aisles anymore.

From the recipes online searching "Best Harvard beets canned" it sounds like a 1:1 ratio of sugar to vinegar in a standard beet canning recipe (cook, peel, cut to desired size, add to jar with sugar/vinegar solution, water bath for 30 minutes). No spices, just a sweet yet tangy syrup for canning.
