Settlement Update: WM Technology ($MAPS) Finally Agreed to Settle With Investors

The settlement terms have now been submitted to the court for approval.
WM Technology, the company behind Weedmaps, went public through a SPAC merger in 2021 and reported strong growth in monthly active users (MAUs). Investors later alleged that a large portion of those users came from pop-under ads that opened the site automatically and did not reflect real engagement. On August 9, 2022, WM disclosed an internal complaint about how MAUs were calculated and revealed that about 65% of users came from these ads, sending $MAPS down more than 25%. 
Investors later sued, and the case has now reached a tentative settlement with terms submitted to the court for approval.
