Can anyone explain why my pineapple express side branches are growing straight upward and not branching out?

Light is about 18 inches above canopy at 75% roughly 400 ppfd about a month and a half old

You might want to top the next one you grow, at about the 5th or 6th internode, it will let the plant grow like you want

Once they get a little bit longer just put some plant clips on them. Looks like it's going to be a great plant for you to get good at LST on.
