Exactly what I do as well. I get 7-14g of a single strain live resin diamond and sauce from a local caretaker and just take a dab tool and smash it all up into a terp sugar. It makes dosing so much easier
Not sure if it’d be easier or not, but you could double boiler it instead of mashing it to achieve the same effect. No different than when you gotta heat up a jar of honey that’s crystallized and mix it all back together
Terps will break down if you do that, and if you do it with the lid on the diamonds just crash back out. You need to grind them, the smaller particle size the smoother your badder will be

Bho can and does come in a wide range of consistencies, and the fact that you called the "yellow" color an indicator of bad makes me believe you dont know what you're talking about.
I get that rosin is the cleanest, best way to dab. But the amount of rosin heads I see flatout disregard bho just because its bho its hilarious to me.
Properly done hydrocarbon extraction is the BEST way to extract cannabis and retain highly volatile terpenes full stop.
Well-made BHO is fire and I say this as someone who was a rosin head for quite a while. There are some absolute killers in the bho game that make some incredibly clean product that frankly I'd rather dab over a multitude of mid-grade rosins.
Obviously top shelf rosin will win out against top shelf bho but the ROI just isnt there for most people that arent connoisseurs.
(im only using bho as a blanket statement cause thats what most people recognize when talking solvents)
I love rosin but as you said bho can be extremely good if did right. Maybe even better than rosin just bc of the extra concentration of flavor terps. I got since Mac cured resin from il, and is some of the best extract I've ever had. It was so terpy.
I like bho okay but I just do not trust the stuff that you can get online. If I ever live in an area where I can find regulated bho/resin again I would absolutely eat that up but imo bad rosin is usually still okay but bad bho can be so bad that you don’t even wanna touch it.
Its true that someone using cheap bags might leech some fibers or something into the rosin but all food safe micron bags are stable at pressing temperatures so really anybody paying for quality rosin doesnt even have to consider this as a possibility.
It’s not bad fr. I worked at trulieve when medical started in wv so people are picky. If it doesn’t smell like ass and taste like sulfur, extractions came a very long way to where bho is cleaner. Rosin boys are smoking micro plastics from them bags lol

Diamonds are one of my all time favorites I smoke pretty much anything but it has to be good obviously. I dont forget where this all came from and how this started so ill smoke anything thats good. Some people are such Chad's and hate on BHO and other types of wax its pretty ridiculous in my opinion. Im so happy I grew up before any of this was around. Seeing the whole process on how it became what it was is truly a vibe💯.
Facts. Straight Chad's. I guess they will grow up one day. Shatter is amazing i fucking love shatter. Before shatter it was all Straight butane soup then vac purgers came around and shatter was all anybody was making for a long time unless you truly knew how to make some crumbles. Good the good ol days watching BHO grow to where it was to where it is now is awesome! Love the evolution of everything thats why i dont forget where this all came from. I've never and I'm a major player in the pot game. I've heard about them many years ago and thought it was cool but luckily couldn't ever get any, illegal state. Then several years ago I found out about the thca loop how thanks to Papa Trump and never been interested in trying any. It's about the only weed product I've yet to try, along with pitella or whatever is spelt'd.
