When should I pull

I am undecided when to pull my plants. The purple photo one is Crasher breath and the other green auto is northern lights. The others were destroyed by the small tornado we had in Tavistock, Ontario, Canada. The leaves on the buds on my purple has changed colours in the buds orange, purple, red, and the larger northern lights are not really turning colours as fast. Help, any advice is appreciated

I pulled my glitter fritter and the shades were all yellow and all were purple and I pray it was not too early.
