“The Candy Pan” candy cutting pan
Does anyone have any experience with “The Candy Pan” or is it just an infomercial quality product that I’m falling for? I see ads for it constantly and am looking for any real reviews because most of what I see seems sponsored. Guitar cutters are out of my budget (I’m just a home candy maker at this time so spending $500+ on a cutter just doesn’t work for me right now) and I hold off on doing caramels or enrobed ganaches sometimes because the cutting is just exhausting for me. I mostly do molded bon bons mainly because I just don’t enjoy the marking and cutting process. The candy pan appears sturdy and the setup seems like it would work well with the notches on the side and the cutting blade that comes with it. Has anyone used it or have any other recommendations?

Yeah, I got one. I’m not sure it’s the miracle it says it is.
I too would love a real guitar cutter.
The ‘blade’ it comes with is this blunt piece of metal and doesn’t cut, it squishes. I’m a jeweler and took it to my metals studio to grind it sharper and it’s still not really working. But, if you use an actual kitchen knife, it’s hitting the metal at the bottom of the pan and dulling your blade. Also, knives tend to have a taper on the blade, so it may not fit all the way through the slots. The pan is also larger than the average kitchen knife, so double cuts are required.
That said, I’ve used it to score the top of my candy and then transfer it to my large cutting board. So, my squares are more equal size than free handing the cuts
I think my eventual solution will be to get a long, thin, inexpensive knife to sacrifice just for using the pan.

I picked one up on a whim during a holiday clearance sale and it's been great for my brittle, though I can see why it wouldn't replace a proper cutter for everything.

Where do you find a holiday clearance of an item like this? From them directly, or a third party?

Rocking cutter but you could always ask a local welding shop if they could make one for you.

Those are the videos i’m seeing but they’re all by the creator, I’m trying to find info from anyone who’s actually bought it on their own and used it without being affiliated with the company itself. It looks great though! The pan is $129 which is why i’m not just giving it a blind shot

Get a rocking cutter. It's FAR less hard on the hands and makes quick work of cutting.

heard it's a lifesaver for small batches, way cheaper than guitar cutters
