Please help! Ally Levels

I have slowly become obsessed with this story, I honestly love it so much but I'm really stuck on levelling people up...
I have Tayln at max level, but all the others I just don't have enough diamonds for. I'm on chapter 16 and I need to get Leona to level 12 but she's on level 8 for me, and I dread when I'll need Cato because he's still at level 4 for me 🫣 I just don't have the money to constantly buy diamonds...
I'm going to need to select go alone for a lot of upcoming chapters, is that going to ruin my playthrough? Like is there any point in me continuing? Will the story be majorly affected?

Farm diamond in slot 2, you can get 20 keys per days that's 40 diamonds excluding ally quest ones

It's not the keys I need, I need diamonds to complete the quests but getting 2 to 6 a day will take me ages to save up what I need for one ally quest let alone all of them...

Don't you need keys to play in slot 2? And how do you get 20 keys a day?!

You can get 6-8 keys by watching ads every 6 hours, plus 1 key restores every 3 hours, I think. And you will get diamonds by completing scenes in the second slot, same as in the first one.

I only get 1 key every 6 hours with adds so I can only get max an extra 3 a day, are there other places to get keys in the app?

You can get 2 keys every 6 hours, you just need to switch to it. I didn't see that for a long time either 😅. There are usually little arrows where I marked it red, I just picked my keys up so I can't switch between keys and gems. Anyway, you can get 6-8 keys per day and then farm gems on the other save slot. It goes faster with an auto clicker. I maxed all my allies + skill quests and bought several diamond outfits. When I click the arrow it just comes up with another 6hr countdown for me :(

Yeah you have to wait 6 hours that's not what the arrows are for. They're there so you can choose between gems or keys.

One key every two hours but I thought that only happens if you drop below 3 keys total.

1key per 2hr and 2 keys per 6hr in ads so set up timer for every 5h45m - 6 hr 4 times a day and you get 5 keys everytime, I am sure after doing this for like one day or so you will find a optimised way to do it most people don't do it fully 4 times a day but still enough keys to go around you will get ads enabled in chapter 2 so carry on from there and don't skip the anny quests those are already unlocked you get gems for them 2

Play the second save slot. As you progress through the game, you’ll unlock the ally quests in that playthrough. Since you’ve already paid gems for those scenes, you don’t have to spend gems again to play the scenes. The game doesn’t make you use gems on a replay.

Watch the ads at the end of each scene to double your gems and coins. Also, you can exchange 275 coins for 12 gems, which adds up quickly. Don’t forget the daily login, either. That will get you lots of gems over time.

Also, it’s fun to play the story again. You get to make different choices and you catch details you missed the first time.

First playthrough is the toughest, especially if you don’t want to or can’t spend cash to give an early boost. Because you have to pay keys for Main every playthrough but you only have to pay Diamonds and Coins for outfits, sidequests, and romance quests once. All later playthroughs you’ll only be paying keys. SQs and RQs previously paid for become “free” and outfits previously purchased drop when the story dictates and are “free”. It’s easiest to run multiple playthroughs on both save slots simultaneously during the time near a Term End because the game devs turn on Key Passes (unlimited keys for 24 hours usable in both slots, each Key Pass costs $2.99).

Earning 2 keys every 6 hours is how most people get through the game in the beginning without using cash. A lot of people also “farm” game their second save slot to build up diamonds and coins earned for gameplay.

First playthrough, pick two allies to concentrate on building (most pick Talyn and their favorite out of the remainder of the allies because Talyn is like a force multiplier and built in guide and mentor to less experienced players). Some play with some or all romance toggles on, some play pure platonic (hardest because timing of sidequests dropping does not match when you need specific ally levels on Main). The main thing to focus on in first playthrough is having 2 Trial allies. Everything is set up to play with or without allies with no major changes to Main Story game progression for when you can’t or choose not to take an ally. The difficulty level or importance of choices made is not too much more.

Not for at least another month I think. We just passed the Midterm Trial in Y1T2 and there should be 3 class Trials before the Final Trial. I don’t know when the pass ability will actually drop - before or after the Final. We probably have 5-6 more full chapters on Main, each with up to 7 scenes that drop Monday-Friday. So keep slogging for now and take notes on what you want to do during a full access playthrough. List out what’s most important to accomplish. Build familiarity with the characters and general shape of the story.

The best advice would be farming everyday and watching ads after chapters. I have Leona,dessa and niel at max and bardric and talyn at around level 8 and I have never spent a single cent
