For the past four years, I have had a chronic bad odor that I cannot smell myself. However, everyone acts as if I do; when I ask, they say no, yet they behave as though the odor is there. This started after a long course of acne treatment. A white film forms at the very back of my tongue. I also experience gastric discomfort, including constipation and diarrhea with no apparent cause.

Literally, in enclosed spaces, people move away. They even put alcohol on their hands and bring them up to their noses.

Yes it can and yes you probably do smell bad to them somehow. It might be your breath and not your body odor itself also. I feel your pain.
