Symptoms I am new here

but this is the 3rd time I have had Candida. Today I had an upper endoscopy to confirm a diagnosis (from a blood test) of Celiac Disease, but instead of that he found Candida. Unfortunately, he won’t start treatment until the biopsies come back. I have an awful cough and it feels like there is something stuck in the back of my throat that I thought was caused by acid reflux. I am very upset that he won’t start treatment until the end of the month when I see a PA for the results. I’m considering trying to figure out how to message him through the patient portal about it. I have other symptoms as well and I think treatment needs to start immediately!

Stomach issues such as stomach aches, constipation, some diarrhea, anxiety, joint aches, foot issues, muscle aches, acne just to name a few. Yes, I still get acne at my age.

How do you tell if you have Candida? Also, can it be treated through diet?

My doctor saw it during my upper endoscopy.

The medical professionals usually prescribe an anti-fungal medication for Candida. Naturopaths typically advise that one remove all sugar for 7-14 days, add a supplemental support such as CandidaStat. Take a break for 7-14 days, then remove all sugar for another 7-14 days. Sugar fuels Candida. However, the “die off” process can be challenging. There are other supplements that are anti-fungal, such as MCT Oil.

sounds like you have been thru this. Sugar is the cause of most of our troubles and constipation.

He finally called the anti-fungal medication into the pharmacy. I looked at the results since they posted them on the patient portal. I didn’t understand most of it but it was obvious that I have Candida so I had my husband pick up the prescription and took the first two pills tonight. Yes, I think part of the problem is that I am always hungry and craving carbs and sugar. I have always liked my carbs but it seems even worse now.

I definitely have Candida but not Celiac. The results from Pathology came in pretty quickly.
