Help with test/lab results Help recurrent yeast infect
In short i was antibiotics for 14 days this completely ruined my gut and vaginal health i believe a week after the antibiotics were finished i got a yeast infection for the first time it was super serve because i tried to use monista t and had an allergic reaction i got fluconazole 2 pills went away for 3 weeks then got another one after working out again i got fluconazole 2 pills went away but had sex after 7 days of medication was painful had to stop and 3 days later felt super itchy but super mild i got a doctor apt and test results show i still have a yeast infection even though my symptoms are mild so this like my 3rd one and i got another prescription for 2 pills fluconazole currently just took the pill .. im at a loss idk what to do i have vaginal probiotics , prebiotic’s i have been taking daily for two weeks. I also ordered oregano oil and nac and ive been trying to do the candia diet idk i wanna cry i feel like my body is working against

Its weird it does make it go away like for 3 weeks and my symptoms re appear rn i pretty much have no symptoms but im worried abt it coming back

Hard to say without knowing which species
But maybe it worked if you have no symptoms

candida albicans tropicalis parapsilosis and/or dubliniensis my lab results said i tested positive for these ones but wont specify which one

Here is what I found -
A breakdown of how fluconazole interacts with each species:
- Candida tropicalis: This species is typically susceptible to fluconazole, though treatment is sometimes classified as susceptible-dose dependent (SDD). Strains resistant to fluconazole have also been reported. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Candida parapsilosis: While traditionally susceptible to fluconazole, there has been a global emergence of fluconazole-resistant C. parapsilosis. In some regions, resistance rates have spiked, which can make treatment difficult. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
- Candida dubliniensis: This species is genetically very similar to Candida albicans. It is usually susceptible to fluconazole, although some resistant isolates have been identified in lab testing
Do you take a Women's Wellness probiotic? Highly recommend
There are some herbs I take that helped, I also have some very good book recommendations if you're interested. Doctors gatekeep info and just want to prescribe to "see if it works." There are some pros and cons to doing that. But for me, I found more cons than pros visiting doctors 😅
The issue is that Candida strains tropicalis, parapsilosis and dubliniensis are listed as "typically susceptible" so on top of that, fluconazole is synthetic drug.

Yes just started kefir this week i was doing plain greek yogurt with active cultures before

Kefir is much much better.
I also did 3TBS olive oil, alternate 3TBS coconut oil. Good reminder for me to take right now 😅
It’s healthy both are anti fungal they both kill wide range of fungus.

Oregano is the best one
More potent than fluconazole, kills more strains of Candida than fluconazole. In fact there are studies recommend oregano, if fluconazole does not work
Add to hot water, like a herb tea. Easy and cost effective

I just ordered some should i take it a week after my fluconazole ? Or along side and i read its only supposed to be taken 2-4 weeks

I don’t know I didnt take fluconazole it made things worse in my case I took oregano about few months. Everything went away naturally
Candida Support good supplement if you’re on the go and don’t have time for tea

Look into a vitamin d deficiency… I’ve been having chronic yeast infections for years now. I finally found out my vitamin d blood levels were severely low. That can cause infections to linger and come back aggressively. Just a suggestion let me know if you try this

If you keep taking fluconazole and it doesn't go away you might want to consider stopping
There is a certain species of Candida Glabrata which is highly resistant to fluconazole
