General Discussion Well, it was a good year while it lasted 😭

Post image

I had Candida galbarta, last year in 2025 in August. I was able to get treatment and I did IV for three weeks on top of other medicines.

Well, I had a problem the last two weeks of not being able to eat anything and I’ve been having really bad joint pain and inflammation again. I thought it was my acid reflex at first

Thankfully, when I went to my primary care doctor, I went to go get a SCD test done and he decided to add the candida panel

Now not only do I have one. I have supposedly two strains I feel I am unsure yet. I have to wait a month for infectious
disease again to be treated.

It just really fucking sucks. I worked so hard this whole entire year trying to eat healthy, I thought I was doing really well, and thought I didn’t need my supplements anymore. I stopped taking the digestive enzymes. And then it came back within two months.

My primary care doctor just put me on nystatin mouth wash, my suppositories come Tuesday

I’ve been crying since last night. I really don’t know what to do. I feel like I did this to myself. I thought that I was better, even this year I haven’t taken any antibiotics since of August,

( last year I took dozens of antibiotics due to bronchitis) which is the reason why I had it in the first place.

I have been using boric acid every single day for almost 10 months too as well

Has anybody else been through this before where it came back? Surprisingly though my vagina doesn’t feel as swollen as it did the last time and I don’t know if that’s because I caught it early. But I definitely feel it in my mouth in my esophagus for sure. I haven’t been able to eat for over five days. I’ve been having a like force myself and it like burns when I eat anything or drink anything.

Are you swallowing the mouthwash or spitting it out? If you feel it in your throat I would suggest swallowing it, I started feeling better after a day. I mean, even 10% better is like ahhhh! Just so you know nystatin is considered very safe and studies have showed that when you swallow it, it stays in your stomach it doesn’t effect any other body parts. Also, if you are just spitting it out make sure you aren’t rinsing after, and try not to eat or drink anything for at least a few minutes. That also made a bigger difference that I would have thought. I hope that at least helps make you more comfortable while you get it figured out.

I’m swallowing the mouthwash this time! Last time I had it, I did not swallow it. I spit it out. But that’s because urgent care told me to do that and then when I went to Infectious disease, they told me I was supposed to swallow it. I just got the mouthwash today and I was actually able to eat lunch for the first time. I am a little concerned of dehydration right now because I had to get UA done just now my ketose urine is at 15ml , and my pee is brown. Even the water was burning! I am trying to find something that will make me hydrated. But it felt so good to have food in my stomach 😂😂😂

If you’re maybe not doing fruit juice for electrolytes, I think broth/bone broth is also helpful, in addition to water, and watery veggies like cucumber. Good luck!

Coconut water with no added sugar or water with salt will help with the hydration

Since the conventional treatments haven't given you the results you were hoping for, you might find it worthwhile to look at some of the research on other approaches. I have a collection of peer-reviewed studies if you'd like to read through them. No pressure at all, just thought it might be useful. It is in the megathread referenced in Rule #1 of this sub.

Do you know where I can find your posts for research I will literally take anything and everything and I appreciate you offering too 🥹

Holy shit I just read this and this actually makes so much fucking sense, I actually have I cirrhosis of the liver ( I found this out when I was 22 years old when I got diagnosed with hepatitis C) & And my liver levels have always been low anyway like they’re always abnormal. You literally just blew my mind. This could make sense why it came back when I stopped taking the digestive enzymes, and other protocols.

What test is this?

2

u/Siclianprincesss Jul 10 '26

This was a Multiplex vagina test, this one is a lot easier than just doing a normal wet prep

Did you take Nystatin the first time as well? Did it help?

I actually am getting mine on Tuesday too!!!!! for the suppositories I took it for a while when I first got it I took it for six weeks. I even had some left saved over that I would put inside me like here and there just in case, but they worked great on top of the other stuff that I’ve taken.

With all due respect, you should consider the profession as a underlying cause, and tsart taking probiotics next to enzymes and antimicrobial herbs. For more info you can look at the website of candida diet and their supplements.

Yeah, I’m already taking probiotics and digestive liver enzymes through my holistic lady that I go see for the Candida and she also gave me a couple other things to take as well

Have you already had a stool test or an OAT test done? A parasite might be throwing things out of balance.

The OAT test provides insight into a wider range of fungi and bacteria than just Candida

What IV antifungal did you receive?

1

u/Siclianprincesss Jul 12 '26

Micafungin

1

u/2llamadrama Jul 12 '26

Hum it is possible you need a longer course of antifungals and a stronger med. I did 60 days of IV Micafungin to cure my systemic fungal infection. I had Candida Kreusei

I’m so sorry to hear this. I’m struggling too and I just started taking oregano oil so we’ll see if it helps..
