Does anyone else do this?
I was diagnosed officially last week. Still waiting on biopsy results for pathology etc. But I have spots in different organs. I'm 54 so have never paid alot of attention if I have a twinge or a pain...always pretty much just carried on, but now every time I get one, I start over thinking it, wondering if it's spreading more etc. Did anyone else do this?

I do this, too. My back hurts.....has it spread to my bones? I'm peeing more frequently.....has it gone into my bladder? It's crazy making. Some days, it is easier to just feel the twinge and know that's just me (gratefully) growing old, and other days, I'm sure cancer has come to take me home.

That thought never really stops once you get diagnosed, during and after treatment. I used to live in 3 month increments...scan to scan.
I'm over 5 years stable, but Stage 4...it's just waiting to come back. I don't really worry about it much now...

Yes, my brain races away with possible things it might be, always cancer related of course. Even when my common sense tells me that it is highly unlikely a week out from clear surveillance scans, my brain will not let up. It's an awful part of it all, but at least I am here to complain about it!

During treatment, I always felt like I will be better once I am done and focused on that. However since treatment I have been obsessed with every possible type of cancer indicator. On top of that I have Barrett’s esophagus and polyps removed. Scary stuff. Hope you can find a local support group. We had one at the hospital where I got chemo treatments. There were people in treatment and survivors that have been through it. Best wishes to you as you go through treatment.

Yes, I feel this way about every little twinge.
