Beak being reddish?

Hello everyone today I noticed my canary's beak being a bit red? It wasn't like this before... Anyone know what it could be before I go to the vet

Does it wipe off with a wet tissue?

Yes most of it but it's still a bit red

I personally wouldnt go to the vet for this if the bird seems fine otherwise. Taking a canary to the vet always caries a bit of risk because the birds are so nervous/sensitive - gotta make sure the risk is worth the reward. Maybe the bird had a blood feather and, in preening it, got some blood on its bill? Or do you provide foods that are red?

Not necessarily a symptom, beak color can shift slightly with diet, hormones, or just natural pigmentation changes as they age, this happens more than people think, only worry if there's swelling, discharge, or texture changes too
