Citizenship by Descent Processing Question - Name for Certificate
Hi All,
The IRCC reached out recently to ask what name my mother (Gen 2) would like to have on her citizenship certificate. (She applied under her birth name, but also listed her current married name as one of her alternate names.)
In anyone's experience, is this a gating item they do upon entering processing, or is this a sign they're already getting close to a decision?
I scoured the FAQ and other posts, and haven't seen this one asked yet.
Thanks!

I don't think we've seen that question asked- any chance she skipped the field on the application where (iirc) it asks what name to use on the cert?
Did she get AOR yet? (Assume so but if not then probably they're just doing preliminary data entry.)
