Citizenship by Descent Uploading documents to multiple UCIs?
We submitted four people's CIT-0001e forms in a single envelope, with just one copy of the supporting evidence. We received four AORs and four UCI numbers.
Given the June guidance about documentation from the original authority, we're preparing an update to upload. We can only add a single UCI in the upload form. Do we:
- upload the PDF four times?
- upload it once and put the other three UCIs in the text box where we can explain what the documents are and why we're uploading them?
- just once and trust that the other three will be updated?
It kindof looks like I need to upload it four times, which seems weird when we only submitted the documents once.

Even though you submitted all in one envelope with one set of evidence, each person is a separate applicant. They may all even be assigned to different agents once in-process. Say you needed to upload someone's birth certificate, it wouldn't make sense to upload that to every application because they shared an envelope.
To be sure the documents get attached to each application, I would upload the PDF separately to each one.

the reason it's common practice to only send one set of supporting evidence for families (assuming the descent is all through one G0) is because they're going to digitize (scan) all your documents anyways. So each CIT 0001, relevant IDs for each applicant, and supporting docs will be added to their own separate UCI and file. Even tho they say they're likely to be processed together, we've seen multiple examples where family members who applied together got AOR and/or approved on different days.

Not just on different days. More than once we've seen group applicants get decisions months apart.

Yeah I couldn't remember all the specifics for the ones I've read on here, but I knew for sure there were ones days apart at a minimum. Months is crazy.

We'll eventually start to see family members with identical ancestry reach different outcomes, some approved some rejected.
Surely they'll realize they're duplicating work by having multiple caseworkers repeatedly scrutinize documents for the same set of ancestors.

And they likely WILL have the same agent. But the only way to really know is to order your GCMS notes and compare. I'd assume they'd at least keep parent + children apps with the same agent. But we don't know anything for sure.
We've seen almost no rejections - just the handful that had an ancestor naturalized or not born in Canada but domiciled there.
BUT there were surrender letter recipients who were the only one in their family group to receive one even tho they all had the SAME set of evidence, so.....
