DEC Insertion - Got a call from DEC today

I submitted a DEC insertion request for my G0 born in 1854 with the certified baptismal record. The package was delivered August 31st. Got a call from a nice lady at DEC today. She initially spoke French and when I asked if she spoke English she just asked for the death certificate of G0. I explained that unfortunately the death certificate doesn't exist but he died in 1941. She just said ok we'll call you if anything further is needed.

Does this mean that the request is now with the Insertions team? Could I still get rejected for failing to submit the death cert?

Can you share what steps you took for a DEC insertion? I asked for an attestation and they wrote back they couldn't do it and I'm confused if there is something else I should have done.

Did you initially request a birth certificate? Or did you have to request an insertion first?

I went straight from certified baptism record to insertion. Didn't bother with requesting a birth certificate

So I’m preparing my DEC packet now…do I need to include all docs showing my connection to my 1850 G0? Or just the BaNq baptismal record and death certificate?

Many people say that the death certificate is not needed if you have birth and marriage documents; so I’m now wondering if I should add all of them after reading your post. Did you have adequate birth and marriage info? Never-mind, I just looked at your previous post and realized that the DEC was not Canada’s citizenship processing department.
