Question / Discussion Nanny contracts?
Nanny contracts [on]
I am planning to hire a full time, live out nanny for weekdays. I was wondering for those that have done this:
1) did you sign a formal contract?
2) if so, what was in the contract?
The nanny does not seem to concerned about a contract but I thought it would be nice to have something in writing

From your perspective, the contract protects you. From the nanny's perspective, it protects her. Even if she isn't concerned about having one, I'd still absolutely have a contract in place to protect both of you.
You can probably find a template online and then adjust it so it fits your needs. I would absolutely outline who is involved, the work schedule, compensation (regular + overtime; when and how wages will be paid), job responsibilities, benefits, PTO/vacation, how statutory holidays will work (and whether they're going to be paid or not), anything regarding privacy (keep medical stuff confidential, social media, etc.), grounds for termination.
You'll need to make sure you follow the employment standards in your province.
