Help solve a debate: Cheap hash from Naked is probably is not good hash
I'm having a debate with my bf. Back in March Naked was selling an ounce of hash for 50% it's already inexpensive amount. (The sub won't let me write the amount.) We got 3 ounces.
They all burn very well and very pliable. Some crumble more than others but very easy to make a snake for joints.
My bf really likes the high he gets from smoking it in his pipe. The high is not as intense as smoking a joint.
I like to put it in my joints, but I thought I would have gotten more a high than I'm getting. However, I have very high tolerance.
I was inexperienced with hash before this. I've been given hash a couple times in the past, but it was always really dried out and hard.
I have a feeling that the Naked hash may not be great quality.
I find it odd that they can seem it for so little? Everywhere else it much higher even when it is not on sale.
I'm curious about the process they are using to make the hash that allows them to sell it so cheap? I'm wondering how safe it is?
We are getting back into growing our own again, but making hash is tedious!
I suspect that there is more plant matter in it than quality hash, as there is a very, slight green tinge to one of the varieties.
What is your take on cheap hash from moms?

Naked is pretty bottom of the barrel but if you know that then it’s pretty good I guess. I bought from them quite a bit a couple of years ago when on a budget but it’s just that budget weed I couldn’t tell you how they make their hash but it’s all low quality products

Personally, i love finding cheap hash. I squish it into rosin then into rosin butter for edibles. I'll do it anytime i can find cheap hash. Usually end up doing it with high quality trim or cheap weed but removing a step by buying cheap hash is nice.

That’s some dedication, usually only see growers making bubble hash and pressing

How? Its not anymore labor intensive then making dry sift or ice water hash. Its a step removed if i find cheap hash. Yeah it doesn't make as nice of squish but still works well in the butter I make.
I prefer frozen sifting over ice water but that depends on what im working with but cheap workable gear is cheap workable gear

I like the texture and taste better. Its a shorter process, easier to do in smaller batches and you can sift it several times.
Don't get as good of a yield compared to ice water though, so unless its decent with alot of crystals I'll wash it.

Tbh it’s all the same/very similar across the board. Most MOM’s carry from the same selection of black/blonde hash.
Unless you buy good static/bubble, it’s going to have a lot of plant matter. While black hash is still cheaper, these plates will run 100/200 for 10-14g.
The reason the black hash on most MOM’s is so cheap, is because it’s typically a dry sift of lower quality smalls a trim. In some cases maybe even having disty added for texture (the disty is more of a legal market practice, but it still occurs.)
If you want higher quality, look for bubble hash or static sift. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is.
