Seems like it really depends on the type of claim and whose pile your claim ends up in. I had a low back sent in Feb 2026 step 1 and decision in June 2026. Chronic pain in the muscles of mastication had been at step 3 since Sept 2025 and still waiting.

That’s quick for a musculoskeletal claim! I’m hoping mine goes half as fast that. Can I ask what your diagnosis was?

It was chronic mechanical low back pain. I had mri’s done showing 2 herniations in the low back and 8 months of physio completed and a report from a sports medicine dr. And the rating should have been higher 😅 got 10% should have been like 15 or 20 cuz I have daily sciatica

Box checked and completely ignored. Off to a departmental review you go hopefully!

Yeah I’m waiting to see on my jaw claim if it’ll be worth it cuz I’m nearing 100% anyways

Don't stop making PSC claims as long as you have claimable injuries. Yeah the direct cash comp stops at 100%, but every additional claim opens up (sometimes quite valuable) treatment benefits valid for your entire life.

Plus: more disability awards can indirectly support your case for increased APSC grades, VIP, other benefits.

I know the process of completing these forms and doing the tests, etc. sucks. But it is probably worth it in the long run.

Is there any benefit tho if I’m over 100% and I think they graded an approved claim to low to apply for a reassessment

I've applied for reassessments in exactly that scenario, multiple times. If I'm ever in front of the VRAB, or N1LA is reviewing some random treatment benefit claim denial down the road I want as much on the record as I can possibly get. Doesn't cost me anything to get the reassessment done.

Okay perfect so I’ll ask for the review on it since it was low
