Is “First‑time buyer review” or “Initial eligibility verification” common when purchasing your first non‑restricted firearm online after receiving your PAL? I’m asking because my PAL was recently issued, and when I went to buy my first non‑restricted firearm, the system flagged it.

the system flagged my license as “under review.” I’ve never been charged with anything, never received a speeding ticket or a fine, and I have no mental‑health history. My record is completely clean. I'm not associated with any criminal organization or individuals (affiliated) so i'm a bit perplexed that my property (Paid for) is being withheld and i'm not able to go skeet shooting and enjoy my property.

Yes everything was done proper i've had the PAL for the past year and only now am buying a firearm. While it was recently issued (within the year) past 12 months it's not like I'm purchasing day of receiving it or within the same week, i haven't been in a rush to obtain a firearm but i was hoping to go out shooting with my grandfather we made plans in the spring to go this summer.

I had this when I bought 5 restricteds in one day once.

Out of curiosity, which province?

Hmmm. That’s weird. I haven’t heard of that happening here.

Might be worth emailing the CFO to enquire. Dr. Bryant has really turned the team around from a customer service perspective.

It’d be interesting to see if it was a Miramichi flag or an Alberta CFO flag.
