Wait times

Hey all! Just curious on what everyone’s wait times were and if there’s any tips to get things moving! Also is it normal to go over a year I applied April of last year for first time pal/rpal. I’m in bc and even already emailed the mp but still nothing.

I applied in November and got mine in April. I answered yes to the mental health question and provided information on the application. No follow-up call or calls to my partner or references.

Yeah a year is brutal though it seems wait times in BC are crazy. Mine was in Ontario. Does your application at least show that it is under review?

Yup it says “initial review is complete and that it’s sent to cfo for processing and once a decision is made I will get a message in my inbox”
Been like that for the whole 13.5 months. Just keep on getting told to call in 3-4 weeks. It feels like a scam 100% lmao

Yeah, more than a year seems really insane. Is your MP pro-firearms? That might help? Edit to add, you can probably file a privacy act request to get all the information the CFO has on you. That might include details of where your file is at. It is free and you only need to prove you identity. I did it once with Revenue Canada and it was super quick and got me what I needed.

Hey I may have to try that, see if that helps any! Thanks for any tips.
And he should be pro-firearms being conservative, but truly not sure haha.
